JD 1025 ROCKSHAFT CONTROL LEVER

Has anyone had any experience with the rockshaft control lever staying in the raised position by itself. It raises and lowers mower deck okay but I have to hold it in the raised position. Tractor has 100 hours on it and is under warranty but getting fast service this time of year probably will not happen. Any suggestions/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

If I hear you right, then there are friction washers that hold the lever at one location, and they need to be tighter.
Look at the pivot point just below the two bolts that hold the lever arm on, and there is a lock nut that you can tighten.
Should solve the problem.
