It blew up

Brian, I would contact the dealer you bought from and tell him what happened. Don't go into the conversation upset or start out telling them that "they will pay". It might be something that they did to the tractor during the prep work for what ever reason or it could be New Hollands fault from the start. I am sure you already know this but some people get upset and say/do things they later regret. Personally, I wait a couple days to think things over and if it still bugs me then I deal with it. If it is a New Holland problem though, hopefully the selling dealer will help you out but then again you might be SOL for buying a tractor outside your dealers coverage area. New Holland and a lot of the other companies frown on this because of this very issue. I wish you the best and hopefully this will be taken care of.

On a similar issue, I had a pinched wire on my TN for one of the rear outlets. I didn't use them at all until around 30 months when I wanted to run a rotary beacon during snow removal. Took it to my dealer to find the problem and since it was done at the factory they took care of it for me for free even though it was way out of warranty.

I agree NH has took care of me in the past for my tc40 all just small stuff though. I also had a good dealer then they never held me up on parts or getting work done on my tractor.

Tell them to get the dealers (who are their employees)
The dealers are not NH employees.

Your right, my mistake. They are their customers and representitives. I actually didn't mean direct employees, but anyone representing someone as much as a dealer does over a product as large as a complete tractor line surely has some sort of ties. It would seem that anyone representing them would have certain guidelines to follow, especially between two dealers that are possibly going to argue over who did what and who's going to pay for it.

I think you got lucky that it was an EZ fix.

I didn't try my remote's out on my 7610s untill after my warranty had expried as i had no lift equipment... turns out one of the valves had a defect ( not damage.. but actual defect in the pilot ) that prevented one of the 2 remotes from working... Got no warranty support.. though the shop foreman helped me out by finding me a barely used valve off a salvage machine for half the price of a new one.. saved me about 350$ or so.. as it could have been a 700-800 dollar fix..

It wasn't a remote, it was an electrical outlet. The wire was pinched under the platform and required some work to replace. My dealer has fixed a couple other items on various implements that were out of warranty and do not charge me for it. I do have a good New Holland dealer though.

I know your's was electrical.. the point of my comparison was that you were lucky to get it fixed out of warranty.. even if it was a defect that was /had occoured during warranty. most dealers won't warranty stuff that breaks outside of warranty unless there are very special circumstances..

as i said.. ya got lucky and have a great dealer apparently..

It is a good dealer. They rebuilt the gear box on my Woods brush chopper twice out of warranty as it was a problem on Woods side. Also fixed the leaking oil seal on the Befco tiller that was out of warranty as I had barely used it up till that point.

I agree.

However, I don't think LoneCowboy is going to get very far with this. In essence, he's asking the selling dealer to reimburse him for money he spent at his local dealer. I'd be surprised if this happens. Yes, it's a NH cab, but it was installed, incorrectly, by the selling dealer. Just one of the problems that can arise when buying out of state.:(

Thats interesting...cabs arent preinstalled at the factory and the dealer has to finish assembly? How many other things does the dealer have to do?
