Brian, I would contact the dealer you bought from and tell him what happened. Don't go into the conversation upset or start out telling them that "they will pay". It might be something that they did to the tractor during the prep work for what ever reason or it could be New Hollands fault from the start. I am sure you already know this but some people get upset and say/do things they later regret. Personally, I wait a couple days to think things over and if it still bugs me then I deal with it. If it is a New Holland problem though, hopefully the selling dealer will help you out but then again you might be SOL for buying a tractor outside your dealers coverage area. New Holland and a lot of the other companies frown on this because of this very issue. I wish you the best and hopefully this will be taken care of.
On a similar issue, I had a pinched wire on my TN for one of the rear outlets. I didn't use them at all until around 30 months when I wanted to run a rotary beacon during snow removal. Took it to my dealer to find the problem and since it was done at the factory they took care of it for me for free even though it was way out of warranty.
