I have a 2 cylinder diesal and it is getting hot. I flushed the radiator recenlty and since then it has over heated. The thermostat is out and the radiator is clean on the front. No leaking from the water pump and no signs of a head gasket problem. Any suggestions would be great. I may pull the raidator and have it re-done. Thanks in advance for any help. Trott.

First thing I'd do is replace that thermostat. The coolant may be flowing though too fast (not allowing enough time in the radiator to dissipate heat).
If that doesn't work, then pull the radiator.
Another thing to try is back flushing the radiator.

Is it possible that when you flushed the radiator it plugger off 1 or more of the u tubes? another question is why did you feel the need to flush it ? was it giving you a problem?

Do a flow test with a garden hose.. a good radiator should be able to keep up with a half inch garden hose..

Engines should be ran at certain temperatures to maximize power and fuel economy. Without a thermostat you will almost always be running the engine at a lower temp than it was designed to. I would recommend putting a thermostat back in along with addressing any other cooling problems you might have.
