I played hermit and so did my wife. Read too many negatives about the jab to get it and I was retired at the time so nothing mandatory about having it for work as I worked for myself anyway. Don't know if my employees got it, never asked.

Got my nose swabbed more than once if I remember correctly. Was dealing with the early stages of colon cancer so I had toi wear the diaper at the hospital and get tested regularly. Still have the cancer issue today, just not colon cancer, that was surgically removed as in 14" of my poop chute. Now it's inoperable cancer in my liver but it's under control. Been dealing with it for 8 years now and I don't wish cancer on anyone, not even Haydude...lol I can see why so many people die from cancer as they are unablle to afford the drugs related to it.

My current oral chemo is 35 grand a bottle per month of which I pay 85 bucks.

No one can afford that stuff in reality and I'm thankful I have ultra high option BC/BS Federal Employees heathcare. My total medical bills pre insurance is well in the excess of a millon five.

Just insane amounts.

My youngest daughter's husband was one of the first in our area to get COVID. He ran a temp over 100F for 21 straight days. The only thing that would stay on his stomach was Coke from the local McDonalds. Water or Gatorade would go straight thru him. Drink it in the kitchen and have to run to the bathroom. We think he would have died if not for a nurse at our church (30+ years emergency room nurse) who gave my daughter step by step instructions for his care over the phone. And a gynecologist nurse practitioner who was the only one that would see him as a patient. Daughter would take him in to the clinic and she would start an IV and get fluids into his system. The nurse practitioner was one of the first in our area to get the disease and said she had immunity. That NP said that everyone she saw who had a severe case of the disease was low on vitamin D. So everybody in the extended family started taking supplements and none of us had as severe a case as David.

As someone with lung/respiratory issues I would suggest making a home-made Corsi-Rosenthal box. See u-tube or web-md for specifics.
Merv 13 rated filters and a cheap box fan and some duct tape.
I wear a mask when mowing and have tried to have SWMBO use less scented detergent and softeners on my clothes.
Good luck to all.

Timothy grass gets me along with oak pollen.

I moved to an oak forest with a cow pasture across the street with Timothy grass

If you have a powerful flashlight you can see the pollen after dark by shining it up in the air and looking across the beam.

The light will reflect off the pollen.

I discovered this accidently.

Now my wife will look outside and catch me playing light saber with the flashlight beam and the pollen while walking the pooch
Do you make that noise, too?

Ffffkrrrrshhzzzwooooom..woom..woooom..

Wow, what an intense experience! I’m so glad your daughter had such knowledgeable people guiding her through it. It sounds like the combination of care, support, and those vitamin D supplements made a big difference.

My uncle also was one of the first in our area who caught Covid. We were frightened because he is also diabetic. It was a challenge to buy his meds. Fortunately, we found a way to buy Mounjaro online. But still, people with diabetes are supposed to be at higher risk. He spent almost four weeks in the hospital. The condition was bad, but luckily, he started getting better. I should say, those doctors and nurses who worked with Covid patients and who didn't actually know what consequences they might have faced, are real heroes for me.

The nurse practitioner that helped my son-in-law so much said that he needed X-rays of his lungs but that if he went to the local hospital they would keep him and he wouldn't get out alive.

The ER nurse told her to give him Tylenol and Motrin at three hour intervals alternating the drugs. And if his temp didn't start down to cut the time until it did go down. Same thing that you do with an infant. Daughter was told by local doctors not to do that. She took the nurse's advice and it worked. She had called me that morning and said his temp was down to 101 and he was improving. Then four hours later called hysterical with it about 104. My wife called the nurse and she called our daughter.

Sometimes the nurses do know more than the doctors but the doctor that put himself in charge of the COVID patients at that hospital was/is an idiot.
