Is model identification possible?

I have recently purchased a MF industrial tractor. I would really like to get manuals and be able to order parts when that becomes necessary. Problem is, I can't tell for sure what model I have. The dealer (not a MF dealer) said it was a 2165, which, as far as I can determine, is not a MF model. There is a 3165, though, which this may be. I called a MF dealer, who said that there was no record kept of which serial #s were connected with a particular model. The serial # plate does not have the model #. The engine serial # plate does not appear to be readable, though I am still trying. I am away from home right at the moment, but when I get back, I will post some pics which maybe someone will recognize. Other than that, is there any hope for ever determining what model I bought?

Call AGCO ANSWERS and give them the s/n, they might be able to give you the model number. Not sure if they have records on industrial models though. ph # 877-525-4384 or agcoanswer@agcocorp.com

This site lists parts for a 2165. Maybe they can help identify what you have.
