Is less weight better?

Just depends on what you are doing. High horse power is a waste if you don't have the traction to use it ( spins tires under load )... and traction is based largely on tire type and tractor weight.

I do occasional discing, and heavy brush cutting, boxblading and dirt scoop work. With thte exception of the brush cutting.. those other tasks are a high traction job.

A lighter tractor wouldn't do as good fo me there. On the other hand, I could get away with a smaller light duty tractor to say.. spread fertalizer and grass seed.. and finish mow, or even brushhog a little.

As said.. that 2 tractor idea is attractive.

Actually, I've always wanted a tank, but my wife doesn't think that would be a good idea .../w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Does anyone know how loud those big guns are ?
