Won't a saw chain cut through non steel hard toes? Or are these some sort of chain stopping kevlar layers like they use for chaps?

I guess if you were trying to cut your toes off you could. I've never hit my foot with a saw. Pretty sure i would drop the saw well before it got through the toe of a kevlar boot. My kevlar boots boots have puncture proof soles and pretty good toe protection and are light enough that I can wear them all day in the woods.Won't a saw chain cut through non steel hard toes? That picture, showing where you bent over and cut all that wood is why I like to use an extremely heavy, outdated, antique, cumbersome saw. I use a bow saw, and simply set it on the top of the log, making sure the bar foot is securely in place and then let the weight of the saw do the cutting. When the foot hits the ground, it is time to visibly double check to see if the log is completely cut thru, and then lug that old heavy relic to the next cut. At the end of the day of cutting, the Homelite Super Wiz bow saw is a lot easier on my back then using my Stihl MS310 with a 25" bar. (both of which are heavier than your Husky) Now if I have to go walking thru the woods, cutting a log up here and a log up there, then it is time to grab the tractor with grapple and bring them all to a central location!! That Super Wiz isn't something I want to carry all over the woods, but it sure saves my back when cutting logs to firewood length that are laying on the ground!I am still a Husqvarna chainsaw fan
The echo CS-400 is almost the same as the Husqvarna 440e that I used to have.
I still have Husqvarna 450 for cutting big trees that I cut couple days ago..

I wish manufacturers would use a standard numbering system to identify just how big or powerful a saw is! The Echo 310 versus the Husky 310 is a long way from my Stihl 310.How does CS310 compare to Stihl 170?
They are almost the same between the Stihl ms170 and echo CS-310 according to the specificationsHow does Echo CS310 compare to Stihl MS170?
I used to have Stihl MS250 and Husqvarna 450 with 18" bar.Reason I ask is the Stihl MS170 is on sale for $189.99 with 16” bar.
I could use another small saw, but listed as “perfect for the homeowner”. Gives me a little pause on durability.
