I have a John Deere 2305. i was wondering if the independent lift kit is worth it or not. I would like the 3PH and mower deck to work seperate from each other. So my question is, if the independent lift kit worth it? thanks for the help.

It was to me. Just sold my 2305 this spring and bought a 2520, without the mower deck. I had the independent lift kit on the 2305, I didn't like the fact that my quick hitch was down when mowing, or the deck down when using the 3 point hitch. I had that kit installed after only mowing a couple of times. Kinda pricey but was worth it to me.

Learn how it works to avoid disappointment. A lot of people expect it to work one way, and when it doesn't they claim it's "broken" even though it's working as designed. There are a lot of threads on the subject.
I have it installed and I'm happy with it. Since you already said you need it, it seems like a no-brainer to me.

LOL i guess i did answer my own question. im waiting for my dealer to call back. I always to to get everything i want on something when i buy it. but this was new to me since i was looking at a different model and decieded it was to big for my need(RIGHT NOW).

I also wanted the three point hitch and the mid mount mower to operate separately from one another, so I went with the independent lift on my 2520. If you're looking for further support, I'm glad I went that direction

The independent lift kit is worth it but if you have the mechanical lift you only need the hydraulic kit. The other parts all work fine

In my opinion, very few things from JD are worth every penny spent. BUT after I write the check and start using the JD item I sure am glad JD had one for me. And I will buy another at a later date! Oh, and I do have the independit lift on my 2305 and like it!
