Here's an answer from Mobil 1 website. It says oils should be compatible but because of complex additive packages might mot be. I'd never mix the two anyway--why?--but here's the justification.

That's exactly the response I would expect from them.

They would be rather foolish to put themselves in the position of accepting liability for any possible combination of oil and additives, that may have been used, by saying go for it. :thumbsup:
