I am curious as to how the apparent seriousness of ALEXA links will be diluted.

I run the freeware program 'Ad-aware 6.0'. It finds and eliminates 'Alexa' and hundreds of other spyware programs.

That is the best one out there I think Mrwurm, been using it for quite a while, and it gets the job done.

I have not heard about Ad-Aware. Is it also a good one?
The Spy-Bot Search and Destroy program tells you just what the spyware it finds on your computer does with your personal information that it harvests from your computer. It also detects KeyLoggers,Trojans, and several other known threats to internet security. It has free updates and currently checks for 8811 known threats. The first time I ran SpyBot Search and Destroy it cleaned up 419 spyware issues on my computer automatically. One of these was the ALEXA Toolbar.
Our son who is an IT Security Specialist recommended my wife and I run this on our computers. It really opened our eyes to the whole internet security issue.
The ALEXA TOOLBAR is a KNOWN security issue.

Yep, Ad-Aware works good for me. I just ran it on a friend computer and found 550 spy programs.
