International 385 PTO problem

I replaced the leaking hydraulic line going to my steering, and also changed the hydraulic/transmission oil, and now the PTO won't work at all. The steering and lift work fine. The mechanical linkage seems to be fine. The handbook states the PTO hydraulically egages the flywheel to turn the PTO, so I'm hoping the problem isn't too serious. Any ideas what the problem might be? Thanks.

I would keep working the lever for the PTO and see if there might be any air trapped inside. The air should purge itself after use.

I have seen loader take about 5 to 10 cycles to purge the air.

IS your steering working ? Steeringreturn oil works your PTO !

Check for dirt in your steeringreturnline where it enters the mcv body. If that checkvalve is not working your pto will also not working...remove the pipe and then the union and the cage ...spring ....poppet............poppet must slide free into the cage ........clean and refitt in correct order
