Intermittent short

I've got a 2 year old CT 335. The only problem I've had was about a year ago the tach and associated instrument lights were going out for second or two while operating. Service tech came out and checked everything out, but couldn't find a problem. Said he "just wiggled" all the connections and that seemed to take care of it. Everything was good until last weekend when the problem returned, at first intermittently and is now becoming more frequent. Service tech came out again today and couldn't find anything wrong.

Anyone experirnced this same problem and did you get it resolved?

I would check any ground lugs and make sure there is no corrosion under them giving a problem.

I have saved a lot of time by running an entirely new ground wire from the offending item to the frame.

Jiggle the ignition switch while it's running and see if you can reproduce the problem.

I would remove all grounds and clean good, remove all electrical connectors clean and put some dielectric grease on before putting back together. Hope you find it without too much trouble.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've had the Bobcat mechanic out twice since posting and we've checked the grounding and all connections. He thinks it's a module in the dash but Bobcat is not ready to let him replace it under warranty yet. Good thing is the dealer hasn't charged me for the 2 service calls. The mechanic caught me in the way back to the shop, so there wasn't any travel time which I would ordinarily be responsible for.
