Insomnia

I’ve never had a cup of coffee and find the discussion fascinating…

The odd thing is I make the first pot at 4 am each morning at work… some of my coworkers almost can’t function without their morning cup and for patients it’s normal to hear how much many miss forgoing their morning cup on surgery day.

No talkie before coffee.

I was usually first one in, and always made coffee. Being nice? Self defense? 😆

I always appreciate happy colleagues and coworkers.

All the best,

My wife drinks coffee, and is one of those who's sensitive to caffeinne intake, a sort of self-defeating habit. If she has a little less than usual... headache. If she has a little more than usual... jittery. Weird.

I drank a full Stanley 44 oz. (1 liter) thermos full of a very strong brew (12:1), every day at work for most of 30 years, and often even another mug or two beyond that after work. But could and did often just skip a day for various reasons, and it had zero effect on me.

I switched wholly over to espresso about 3 years ago, and will usually have 2 - 5 doubles per day. But still today, I could have zero or eight espresso doubles... no impact, other than maybe trouble sleeping that night if I over-do it late in the day.

Lucky you, but sorry to hear that your wife is on a teeter totter for coffee dosing. That would be the pits.

Coffee or green tea after lunch is out of bounds for me. Black tea is fine. I don't get it, but thst's what the body tells me. Coffee after lunchtime has me staring at the ceiling until two or three in the morning. Normally I avoid coffee altogether, but that's just by preference.

All the best,

Peter
