I have not had problems with my new 2520 but only 28 hours on it. Has anyone tried just putting the battery in a plastic battery case and mount the whole thing in the tractor. I think that eventually all batteries other than sealed maintenance free and gel units will eventually leak. Looks like there's enough room in my 2520 for a plastic battery box if there is one the correct size.
Plastic battery box is a good way to handle the leaking acid if there is enough space and you can find correct size. However, I doubt if there is enough space in the 4x20 battery compartment to accomodate both battery and box. I'll probably end up going with the Optima solution.

Re: Information on battery "issue"

I have a 4310 that has since replacing the factory battery has now gone threw 3 batteries. There seems to be a low current drain even with the key off all switches off of about 12ma so that in three to four days the battery is dead dead and will not take a charge. Napa has been yeomen about replacing it but I do not think they will cont. Ideas?
