Increasing Wheel Span/Tread on DK45

I just bought a DK45HST that I'm quite happy with! I want to make one change to my machine that I want to check first with all of you. I currently have AG tires on it and I'd like to get the space between the tires (inside span) to a little more than 46 inches (120 cm.) The specs in the manual show that I can turn the wheels out and with the AG tires should get to a little less than 45".

So, the question is: do you think it would be a problem if I were to put in a 3/4" spacer between each hub and wheel rim? Would this cause undue stress on any part of the tractor? Also, if any of you have an idea for a spacer, I'd love to hear it.

The purpose of this is so that I can straddle the bed I'm creating with my 46" Imants Spader. I'm going to try to create permanent sod tracks and only spade/till that space between.

I think if I were you I would want a double lip on the spacer.
The inside lip should run on the axlel hub and the outside lip should have the rim riding on it.
I think you may be putting to much stress on the lug nuts by just putting a flat spacer on it.

Would you mind posting about your spader some time?

I'm thinking of moving raised beds and have been pondering tillage. I also have wheel spacing problems which presently limit me to 30". Going wider will mess up crops that i grow flat in rows. Oh well, I may just have to buy a second tractor...
