Hello Gang,

I live in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and I was looking into the possibilities of importing a newer Yanmar. My 240 is a 1977, and I was thinking of a FX or something a bit newer and in better condition.

Port Elizabeth is a Port city, (if you didn’t guess that) with a full shipping harbor, and customs agents and the whole nine yards...

Any Ideas as what to do next? I am an American living abroad, so I have both a US bank, checking account, and cash US dollars in Africa, if needed... (don’t forget at this point I am just checking and wanting to see what it might cost me…)

Thanks
Jared I. Graham

To start with you will have to be willing to import at least 8 to fill a small container.
