I'm confused about plow mounting

When I put a 6 foot Fischer blade on the Fordson, the PUSH structure was brought back to the rear axle.

But then I see this

Can such a mount actually push snow?

I wouldn't think it would push much, and would be a pretzel first time it caught or hit on something.

Agreed. There are no horizontal supports and the vertical supports are at a mechanical disadvantage.
