Had some 'interesting' experiences. Have new property, acquired a boom mower, and had to repair my cracked brush cutter, among other things.

I will post some details later.

Welcome back. Interested in seeing your fix for the cracked brush cutter because it seems that I have one of those also.

I just sold a Rhino extra light weight 6' mower that the base plate for the gear box had cracked into 3 pieces. The previous owner ran it so long the bottom of the gearbox had worn 1/4" off one side from sitting uneven and loose. Cutting that off, and replacing it wasn't that bad, after getting the stump jumper loose. I took a piece of 8" wide plate that is 1/2" thick and welded two short plates to the sides forming a piece of channel. Cut the center hole with a torch, carefully, and then drilled the bolt holes. Welded that to the braces and supports, and the light weight decking and sent it down the road. Hopefully it won't be back!!

What kind of boom mower did you get? Pictures are always nice!

The boom mower is the Power Trac offering. I will post a report as soon as I get a chance.
