IH485 remote interchange

I've got a CIH 485-380B Ind that was robbed of remote hyd assembly before I got it. I am assuming IH485 remote will fit. How many other IH remotes fit a 485? (484, 585,etc.?)

I think there is a chasis size change at the 485 or 585. I use a 585 and 584 and they share the 685 and 785 chasis size.

There was a change to the remote valves on this series tractors and I think the Serial number break was 18000. Depending on whether yours is above or below this would determine which tractor series would be the same. 64/74/84 series and early 85 series are likely the same if it was a US tractor(meaning it was intended to be sold here). Later 85 series, 95 series and 3200/4200 tractors shared many of the same components.

I'll probably be lucky if it will interchange with either pre '85 or post '85. Early versions('70s) were David Brown Mine is an '85 model if I remember correctly. Im on a ship in Brazil at the moment and don't have serial# with me. It was UK built and has a bigger pump (17gpm) and front end than the ag 485. Not sure if that would make a difference with the porting size of remote manifold that mounts on right side of trans housing. I got a quote for rebuilt remote of $1,300. Sure can't go that route. There was a whole parts IH485 on EBAY that went for $600!
