Had similar issue on 444. In our situation (AND it was leaking) the hand pump needed rebuilt. Got it done (myself) and all is now well.

These knuckleads over there eat/breath/bleed/have children with for and by their IH machines. Someone there will undoubtedly be able to give you some direction. (not that someone here can't, some of them may come here for all I know....after all......I go to both!)
But, I'm not a knucklehead.....I'm a dunderhead.
