I did not get it working yet couldn't find fuse. Need to trace wiring but used it for 30 inches of snow we just got. Haven't looked in detail but now i have a wire grounding somewhere as the wheel sensor code of 50-13 keeps coming and going.
In my manual is shows two radio power options. As trebdubs mentioned there is a switch batt option powered via fuse 10 and there is an unswitched option powered via fuse 8.
On my unit there was an in-line connector in the power wire above the headliner that runs along side the antenna. Maybe yours is lose?
New to this forum have a question on a 2017 5600 toolkit. Seems to be in the morning when we go to start it up the engine starts and quits. For the most part it usually starts after that and keeps running the rest of the day. the other morning I started and it did the exact same thing a few times and then it was okay. some days it does not do it all. I am thinking key switch but figured I would run the question here first if there was possibly something else that I am not aware of.
thank you
not sure about the toolcat but the Deere and Cat have a relay to hold the fuel shutoff open, during starting the solenoid is held during the cranking, once it fires it is held by a relay, if this relay is bad the fuel shutoff closes and motor will die, will allays fire back up with the turn of the key
No they haven't at least not on mine, a 5610 G series.
I have a 72" Brushcat mower and have to constantly adjust the height of the front or it starts dragging.
the Toolcat heating system, there is the valve under the drivers seat and the rheostat on the dash, going to take out the rheostat tomorrow and check but at the valve there is no voltage change regardless where the dial is set, best guess does this mean the rheostat is bad? anything else I should check?
i just had a similar experience with my machine and the A/C its a used machine and I could not get cold air after the engine warmed up. come to find out the previous owner removed the valve under the drive seat. so my ac was fighting the heat. had to make a quick fix. installed a ball valve in the line and shut the heat off. looked at the cost for a new valve, well over $200 so I think I will just keep the $5 ball valve and manually change over from ac to heat when needed.
the valve is located under the driver seat. the previous owner had removed that valve and just put a "coupling" or barbed hose connector in its place. I removed that and put a ball valve with barb fittings on both ends. 1/2" is the size. again it is a cheap, fast fix, and I will look at buying a true valve sometime in the near future. but at least now I have nice cool cab to sit in to mow with.
craneman13, my valve is under the seat but to access requires to remove the seat and cover, Im thinking locating the ball valve just under the cab accessed by raising the box,
anybody ever break the glass on a toolcat?? I have F series and broke the passenger door upper rear window yesterday.. looking at the Bobcat parts sight I have to replace the upper front & rear door glass as an assembly.. I'm sure that won't be cheap.. anybody familiar with other options??
No, not on the Toolcat, but did on the Versahandler. Took the frame to the local glass shop, he cut and tempered the replacement safety glass for a lot less than the cost of the replacement part.
I looked at the Toolcat and don't see how to remove the hinge.
Trailer it to a Auto Glass shop and see what they say.
Keep us posted so I know what to do when ours gets broken.
$455.00 for both upper window passenger door glass (only way they sell it). Dealer said he's sold 2 of them already this year... should be at the dealer by the end of this week.. that will get me to pay more attention....
I need to move a Toolcat a few hundred yards to get it under a roof and out of the sun to work on it. It currently will not start. Is there anything in particular that I need to do before I try to tow it?
Bobcat Toolcat 5610G, Deere X744, Cub Cadet IH 982
My G series manual pg96 states there is no recommended towing procedure. They say you can lift it to a trailer or skid it a short distance (wheels wont turn).
I found some information on another thread that says you need the 4 magic bolts for towing the A thru C models. These apparently can not be used for the D-model. Anyone have any information regarding the newer models?
ruffdog...thanks for the info. I guess they expect you to skid it short distances. My John Deere hydrostat has two screws that you simply turn a quarter turn and then it can be towed.
