Several, all used and abused.
A local Chamber of Commerce had it's 4th annual photo competion last week and I took first place in the Landscape category with a picture of Lake Marabou. I also took second place in the Nature category with this picture of a butterfly.

A friend who likes the pics I post on facebook told me about the competion and suggested that I enter. I created a photo album on there and had friends comment on what they liked. Some even suggested other pics that I didn't include. What is amazing to me is that the pics that I thought where pretty good didn't make the cut, and the ones that everyone liked are pics that I wasn't too thrilled about. The one that took first place wasn't even in my original pics!!!!

I never tried this before, so it's a nice feeling to have done well.

Eddie

Yeah they look great! You deserved to win.

I take hundreds of pictures a year but none are ever good enough to even enter a contest with.

Mostly pictures of my work, but some of them are on historic buildings, I try to frame interesting shots but none ever come out good

I have a Canon SX30 point and shoot. I've had a couple SLR cameras, and tried a dozen very expensive SLR camers that don't compare to this camera. While I realize that a pro will get better pics with an SLR, I don't think any amature or hoby photographer like myself can get a better picture with a SLR.

I don't have to carry any extra lenses, my rechargable batteries last a VERY long time, and it takes very good pics. The 35 power optica zoom is AMAZING!!!!

Amazon.com: Canon SX30IS 14.1MP Digital Camera with 35x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7 Inch Wide LCD: Camera & Photo

Enjoyed those pics, thanks for posting them. My son has a Canon DSLR and my Panasonic Lumix FZ-18 (18x optical zoom) takes pictures that to me are every bit as good. That is, until you get in low light then the SLR's low light film settings set it apart. His camera also can get quick pics that I miss. These super zooms are great cameras when you have plenty of light to work with.

Great pictures.... as others have said, you have a great eye and creative mind. Your creativity is also evident in the things you build. I am always amazed at the little details you add to your projects that really make them stand out as interesting and unique.

Congratulations Eddie, I used to do a lot of photography with 35mm SLRs, but never wanted to graduate to DSLRs...

Many people think you have to have a pro quality, expensive camera to take great pictures but just remember the old saying:

"It's not your equipment that's important, it's how you use it that matters".

Hopefully that comment will squeak past the moderators here....

Congratulations Eddie! You've moved to the next level. Now you can say you are an "award winning photographer" to go along with your other accomplishments.
