More info needed...

How close can you get the jeep?
How much cable does the winch have?
How far from where the tree is to where you want it?
Is there a big enough tree back there to hook one of your pulleys on?

About 80' to the driveway and I can set the Jeep there BUT there is no place to anchor it.

Winch has 80' of cable.

30' to where I want it.

There are three trees I can hook up to.

I need to correct myself, the rope is 5/8" not 3/8.

The crotch is right at my head height and I am 6'4" tall.

It was rotten on the inside.

At the pace that spring is arriving, I wont be able to get on that yard until next fall when I come back from my summer work.

I wouldn't cut that stump without at least a polesaw...
That looks like its just waiting to spring loose and land on someone...

^^^
make the first cut up above the butt shatter, cut the limbs off one side if you want so that the tree will roll toward the unsupported side.

Ok..... I've got a LOT more time then money and I like the challenge.

About 80' to the driveway and I can set the Jeep there BUT there is no place to anchor it.

As I already suggested, park another vehicle behind the jeep to help anchor it.

Winch has 80' of cable.

30' to where I want it.

There are three trees I can hook up to.

Secure double pulley to tree line where you want tree.
Run rope through pulley to single pulley hooked to tree you want moved, and back through double and secure to single pulley.
Hook other end to winch.
This will give you a 3 to 1 mechanical advantage. Easier on the jeep & the rope.

I need to correct myself, the rope is 5/8" not 3/8.

Cut the tree into 15'+/- sections & pull.

Also beware that even a 5/8" rope will stretch and become one big elastic and watch out should it snap!

You could use the rope to rig guys or "preventers" to stabilize the trunk somewhat near the stump. There is a lot of energy stored in the compressed limbs. I suggest attacking the split/break with an axe. An axe because the notches won't bind like a saw kerf, the process is fairly slow so forces would be released slowly, you will already have an arm's length plus axe handle head start down your escape route when it starts to move.

Once free of the stump the trunk may settle some. I would start limbing and bucking from the tree top. Take your time to analyze the forces involved. Be safe.

It IS going to be a challenge.

Surprised no one has mentioned the obvious. Looking has no where near the proper equipment or expertise to move that thing whole. Cannot imagine any one bringing in such equipment to tackle one tree. Each 20' section, minus branches, weighs as much as his jeep. Cut it up in manageable pieces as most have said. Always start at the tree top and work back. Only cut branches as you move down the tree that support the section being cut. As you remove the outboard weight, the tension in the fractured stump will lessen, and reduce danger of a pop up. I have done a couple of those successfully. Looking, what is our hurry to get it moved?
