Warm temps are predicted for Saturday but the wife is taking the older child camping, so I am responsible for the younger child all weekend. That means no tractor time, but the little one is even more fun than the tractor /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif so it should be a good weekend /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. Maybe we'll go shopping at TSC for trailer hitch parts for the PT425. She'll like that, as they have several large tubs of baby chicks and ducks there right now.

Hey, thanks for the tip MR. You talking about the TSC in Niles? My kids love going there to see the chicks and bunnies /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

/ I Miss My Tractor #65
Yes. I didn't see any bunnies. I just heard lots of chirping and found the birds. We'll probably go up there sometime Saturday morning.

I'm hoping after the Quality store closes, they move the TSC up there. It is much bigger and easier to pull out of onto the highway. That big hill to the south of the TSC is kind of dangerous. I heard rumors that Walmart might by the Quality store, since it is right next door, and expand. But that is only rumors I heard in line at TSC. We'll see.

My youngest and I made it up to see the chicks this morning. He was even brave enough to ask the lady if he could pet one. She let him. I asked her if TSC was moving and she said they would be taking over the Quality Farm building but not until the end of summer. Sure will be nice as they are so cramped in there.

Made it up to QFF also, not much left. I picked up a pair of Carhaart jeans for $17. Not too bad.

But the best news of the day is I finally got some tractor time /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif Basically used it as a powered wheelbarrow to haul my chain saw to the back of the property where a tree fell down in the ice storm last week. It was still fun though. Terribly muddy, I guess this is what the New Englanders call "mud season". I don't think our contractors are going to be impressed when they start working on the house. Sure did feel good to be behind the wheel of the little 790 again /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Indeed you were long over do Rob for some seat time.

Mud season for us would be to pick a rut and hope you make it. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Well, as planned, I slept in today, but the 4yr old got up and hauled out every toy in the house in the living room before I got up. I made pancakes and we got up to TSC around 11:30. Picked up some lynch pins, looked at the hydraulic filters and trailer hitch stuff. My daughter was too scared of the baby chicks to pick one up. She grabbed my leg and I had to pry her off . We then drove around searching for hydraulic filters for the Power Trac. I think I found one at NAPA. They will be in on Monday.

During the drive we played "slug bug" and that little stinker saw 4 of them before me.

When we got home, I went to the basement to do laundry, and when I came up she said she had a surprise for me in the living room . She actually cleaned up the whole place and put all of the toys away. She even cleaned her room and made her bed.

I was so happy I gave her a chocolate bar.

So, no tractor time today turned out pretty good, I'd say.

Nothing like the love of a child!!
Glad to read your day went so grand, and may tomorrow be just as wonderful.

And its still going! We've been watching movies, ice skating on the Olympics, and she got to make a pizza and get her hands in the oil and dough. And I got to surf TBN. I wonder how long she'll stay up if I let her? /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Now its time for ice cream.

I hear ya Thomas. It's so muddy out there I didn't even take my trailer back. Supposed to get down to 18 tonight (from the current 47) so I'll count on the ground being frozen tomorrow /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Hey, it was supposed to start raining last night at 6pm. Then it was supposed to be sometime after midnight. It is noon and it still isn't raining. Chalk another one up for the extremely powerful, super duper double doppler radar system. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Mossroad

Rain went North of you. We got it about 7:30 this morning. Followed by snow. Followed by more rain. Followed by more snow. I looked out at the proch and decided I can do without a paper this Sunday. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

The thing that burns me the most is there are 3 local TV stations, all with some form of "Fortune Teller" software that they claim can predict the weather within minutes. The local paper has decided to start keeping track of their accuracy. This should be fun.

/ I Miss My Tractor #78
You bet that could be fun. Especially if the TV stations decide to retaliate. Keep us posted if it gets really good. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Well, now that it's almost April, I guess it's irrelevent, but we had such a mild winter here in the midwest, that I feel stupid for putting the blade on my Murray riding mower, and the blower on the Ariens GT17, because I only used 'em once, and all it did was make a huge pile of snow at the end of my driveway that took longer to melt than the rest of the snow. Ever see a huge pile of snow at the end of your driveway when it's 60's and sunny....man was that a waste of time and energy.

I've got the same situation here Greg, just getting ready to take the blower off my Craftsman rider. Grass is starting to green up a bit, other than the little bit still under a snow pile /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
