I often have the back hoe on the tractor, so removing that and to use a 3PT carry all would be a a pain. I wanted a quick on and off device that I can take out with my FEL that I can carry stuff with and then easily remove and carry on using my FEL. This is not a replacement for either a carry all or pallet forks but it fits in between and is pretty cheap to make.
I made it from wood and it did not cost much. It could be welded from steel and would probably be stronger. For those guys out there who can't weld for one reason or another I hope this device might be something that you can benefit from. Not much investment is required to make it. I drive up to it, slip the bucket into the slot and it's good to go, I have at times, strapped it to the hooks on the bucket. when not needed just drop it off. It has been useful so far.
