- 1983 Troy bilt garden tiller, Fordson Dexta farm tractor, Kubota BX2230 mower deck, with FEL.
Hi everyone, I noticed this vibration a few weeks ago while covering up a under drain I put in on my house site. I went to the Kubota dealer and got an oil change and filter. I drained all the oil out today, then I checked my strainer filter. I found a lot of metal cuttings in it. I got my magnate out and ran it up in the housing and got back some bigger cuttings a couple looked like the curly shaving you would see while drilling metal with a sharp drill bit. I cut the oil filter open and found no filings in it. I strained the old oil using linen clothes and put it back in and parked it in the shed. Tomorrow I will take my mower deck off and my FEL, and bring it into my garage. I've never taken a hydrostatic transmission and rear end apart, but I'm not afraid to. I have good mechanical skills.
My question is has anyone here had such a problem, and if you did what did you find out it was, and where can I get a service manual for my tractor.
If anyone has taken a 2230 apart you would be a great help to me in speeding up the process, and keeping me from making any mistakes, and I would be greatly appreciated for you wisdom and help.
Thanks from Kentucky
Mark
