Also, flu season is just kicking in. There will be a lot more flu fatalities.
Wonder how many people who died from the basic flu get listed as Covid deaths because their blood work came back with a Covid positive result?
Shhhhhh, don’t tell anyone, but Lots of money for those failing hospitals in listing deaths as Covid deaths :shhh:

I just learned that our 31 year old grandson was diagnosed with covid yesterday. I knew that some of his coworkers had it, and he, his wife, and 2 little ones were here for an early Christmas a week ago.

One positive aspect of mask wearing is if you are an ugly gal, no one will see your ugly mug. Even ugly gals usually have pretty eyes......

Very true in general... heard many women say they are saving a bundle on makeup and a lot of guys no longer clean shaven.

It's been over a week now since all the Surgery Docs got the Moderna vaccine.

Why no mask wearing in the past during flu seasons? The flu is obviously deadly, spread in same way, and has no real cure. The flu vaccine will be less effective than the corona vaccine. I hear flu vaccine ~70% effective and Corona vaccine ~95% effective.
If Corona necessitated mask wearing (and it should), one would think we will be in masks for flu seasons from here on out, too.

Remember traveling as a child and in the same plane with a tour group from Japan and first time I saw masks in public... I asked stewardess if they are all sick and she no... just careful.

I found wearing a mask doing yard work meant I could skip allergy meds but often generated questions now no one asks.

It certainly isn't because wearing a mask was (is) a bad idea though.

Flu certainly can be deadly.

If Corona necessitated mask wearing (and it should), one would think we will be in masks for flu seasons from here on out, too.

I'd look for the subject of "Public Health" to get a serious revisitation in the coming days, months, and years.

Probably long overdue.

I think we are going to be in masks heretofore. Might even be fines for not wearing them.
Although there is the American mentality of not learning from past mistakes.....

As child, I had hay fever pretty bad every year ... a couple of relatives had it even worse ... to the point of seeing an allergy specialist and being medicated for it.

As an adult, I've largely outgrown it ... go figure ... :confused3:

Seems like I can still catch a few days every year though, where I get to sneezing pretty good.

I sent it out today to illustrate how false the statement is that flu kills just as many. It was false in May and now it's 10X false in December.
