Dangit, I really don't need any encouragement to spend more money. But a grapple is pretty high up my long (and expensive) tractor wish list! And I can think of so many uses for it...

That arrangement is very much like the way the brakes in my '06 DK45 are coupled...very easy and straighforward. I'm at a loss as to why they made is so much more involved in the CK35.

I still think why Kioti did it that way is because split brakes on a Hydro just doesn't work . Might even be UN-safe ! Oldpilgrim I take it the pic's are of a 2014 Mahindra HST. ? How do you step on the peddle ( forward - reverse ) and still work the split brakes ?

I asked the dealer the same ?? when I picked up my Max25. He said that the intention was to set your ground speed using the "cruise control" lever and then use the split pedal.

Seemed cumbersome to me, but, I don't see myself ever using each brake individually so it wasn't an issue.

yup 3016 HST and the answer to the other question......it takes a lot of thinking trying to use my heel on the go pedal and my toe on the stop pedal at the same time.

I suspect I'll get a lot of practice this winter.

That's a rule I try to live by.

Using vise-grips on a hex nut and bolt will quickly round off the heads & wreck them. First, use a wrench or socket to wreck the nut and bolt, THEN use the vise grips after you've rounded off the heads. :laughing:

I agree, and you may remember that was a consideration when I bought the CK. As for the convoluted locking system? Only thing I can figure is because the brakes are on the same side as the HST pedal, they have to be further outboard, with a different angle in the suspended pedals, which prevents the conventional latch from working. but I think it would still work. Well, as we all know, there is no such thing as the perfect tractor.
