The block looks nice, although I think I would have been in the camp to just drill and tap the loader.

I suppose it all depends on how much clearance you actually needed.

yea i hear ya, I haven't designed in a while so, needed some practice as well

Often use Stainless Steel bolts, nuts or couplings when needing to weld fasteners to make attachment points on carbon steel. Using regular mig wire.

Clamping fixture around the loader frame easy to make too.

Drilling and tapping may work but many variables to consider so not to compromise design strength.
