Has anyone used rear aux hydrualics to power a winch?

I'd like to make one I can use in the rear with backhoe (unsure how I can make that work lol) and also the front, I get in some sticky situations but mainly so I can rescue cars in the snow in winter... not as a job, more of a helping neighbors out when the big storms blow in.

Which winch can I find used for reasonable? I'm thinking 10-15k rating is all I'd need.

I built one for my tractor. Uses the third spool from the loader valve. It's come in handy several times.

Had a log grapple with 10,000# warn hydraulic winch ssqa mount. Added cat1-2 3pt mount. Needed bucket, grapple or blade to anchor to pull anything. Scary strong, could easily bend or hurt tractor.

Have milemarker 10,500# hydraulic winch on front of truck. Two speed diffidently helps playing cable in and out.

On right of way (ROW) clearing tractors hydraulic winches are common. They are often 20k winches and are run off of the rear remotes on 100 hp tractors.

I cannot suggest what you need. If your pulling cars up cliffs 10k might not be enough. However for a lightly stuck car 10K is plenty.

I have a 10k winch on my JEEP and any load I am trying to pull that is to heavy it just slides my 4.5k JEEP....What you are trying to pull is relative to weight of puller...
