My 10 year old x748 seems to bounce more than I remember when new. It seems the forward pedal is extremely sensitive when mowing on rough ground. Anyone one else experience this ? I changed hydro oil and filter using John Deere Low Viscosity Hy-Gard Hydraulic and Transmission Oil, no change.

Your body is also ten years older.......those rides just get worse as the years go on.....

I think Deere put a damper - shock absorber on the HST linkage. Chance that is wearing out over ten years of use allowing pedals to move - bounce easier.

That would be an easy fix, I'll look into that. Thanks for the tip.

Not sure how to post the link but shock absorber is part number MIU804693.
Shown is section 50 power train, control hydrostatic

Finally got around to changing out the shock absorber that connects to the hydro pedal. Problem solved.
