I want to build a hyraulic snowblower out of an old combine, Iplan to convert a pto driven blower to hydraulic and mount it on the front of an old combine, the blower will be 7 to 8 feet what I would like to know is what size pump I need and what size hydraulic motor I need.
Thanks in advance

Welcome aboard. There is a Forum on TBN that is specifically about hydraulics. Perhaps you will find answers there.:tractor::welcome:

Perhaps if you knew the PTO HP of the tractor that was using it. From there, we can compute the pump input HP and motor output HP to drive the blower.

Now, the question is how much HP was actually required to run the blower.

Do you have a model number on the blower?

Here are some snow blowers and they use a 22 in fan, and they use different HP on the hyd motor for different width. Essentially more width more HP required.

Here is some hyd data.

They have prices for the hyd motors and the GPM and motor displacement required for the width of the collector.

These hyd motors are much less expensive.
