hydraulics whining

Is it bad when you start up your tractor the 3pt hydraulics whine? And also when the 3pt is picking up something relatively heavy like a bushhog it whines a little. Is this bad????

If the system is low on fluid it might whine. Check your fluid first. In neutral, there is no reason for the 3pt to whine. If picking up a heavy load, the relief might activate and make a sound.

Mine does that every now and then when I forget to unlock the 3-point, and then try to adjust it.
