hydraulic steering valve?

i have been cleaning out my building, i run accross a dash pannel off a yale fork truck, the steering wheel is attached to some sort of pump/motor/ valve, i don't know how this was plumed , and i can't find any info on this thing, i am assuming that this was the steering valve, because the steering wheel was bolted to it, this thing only has two ports, so i am more lost on how this thing worked , i have been wanting to make my tractor power steering, so i am hoping that this thig is a steering valve. i would realy appreceate any advice on this matter.:confused2:

i am including the photos of the thing i tryed to get a pic of all angles, i took one with the numbers on the thing. i didn't see any name on this

I believe it is a torque generator.

Have you thought about a cheap junkyard power steering pump from a car or truck?

I believe the pressure is about 1000 to 1500 psi.

My Power-Trac machine is articulated, and steered by two cyl and a hyd steering unit.

If you can't use it, just clean it up and sell it. It probably still has valve to someone.

yes i have, actually i have already bought one, i was planing on using a rack off a mustang, and a pump off a neon, i bought them took the home was putting them up when i found that fork lift thing, and thought that is would be easier to run some hose than it will be to build a shaft.
