I have a very old round bale wrapper which I have run plumbed in ahead of my loader spool valves, ie between the pump and the spool valves returning to the reservoir, using the valves on the wrapper to control direction and speed. Sold that tractor and am wondering about what to do with my new situation. Should I run it from the SVC valves with lever pulled open, or some other configuration? my new tractor is a Case IH 75C with two sets of svc and a third function valve on the loader solenoid operated.
Thanks

Most of the time, the loader valve inlet comes straight from the pump and has the system pressure relief built into it - I found out the hard way when plumbing a circuit to run a hydraulic sickle bar, that you do NOT want to "get ahead" of that relief valve - the sickle hit a 1-1/2" piece of HARD laurel hedge, and the first thing I knew was my pump SPLIT IN HALF and puked out 3-4 GALLONS of fluid before I got to the fuel shutoff.

Needless to say, before the NEW pump ever saw fluid there was another relief valve incorporated into a split feed flow control... Steve

I think your bale wrapper should operate correctly attached to scv breakaway couplers with control lever moved in correct direction to power wrapper.
