I am new to the whole tractor thing and I need some answers. I am about to buy a Kubota M7040HDC which is the hydraulic shuttle 4x4 with a cab. What is the actual purpose in having additional rear hydraulic remotes? And what is FEL? Would you buy the optional air ride seat? Any advice and the M7040HDC would also be great. Thanks in advance.

The purpose of rear remotes is to allow you to use equipment that requires hydraulics to operate, such as to raise the cutter bar on a hay mower or to open a baler so the bale can discharge.
FEL = front end loader
As for the seat that would just be a personal choice, try the standard seat and then try the air ride and decide from there. Bouncing around on a tractor with a poor seat can make for a long day. I am guessing that the air ride would be better. The older you get the more important that would be. :)

The Class III D series New Holland tractors are equipped with an adjustable spring suspension seat that greatly cushions the ride over uneven ground.

That said I would go for the air ride seat, your back will thank you for it. Besides the upgrade will be with you for a long time to come.
