Hi,

I had a hard time removing a worn down level plug, and probably affected the female threads on the tractor case doing so. It seem to be a 1/2 inch tapered plug. If I find a replacement plug, could it kind of "re-thread" the female treads? Or should I re-thread the whole thing a size higher?

There is a danger of getting metal filings in the hydraulic oil by re-threading. If you can find a replacement plug you should probably use some Teflon thread seal tape on it to get a good seal.
