Hydraulic leaking problem

I have an international 364 tractor, my question is it has a vented fill plug on the hydraulic system when I am using the tractor fluid pours out the top of it. The manufacturer and local dealer are telling me it should not be vented or does not show it being a vented plug. Why would it have a vented plug and do I need it to be vented? A loader bucket I believe was added to it. It is not original.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

There has to be a vent somewhere. My guess is someone put in the wrong fill plug and the fill hole happens to be in a spot where oil is getting thrown against it, like maybe by a spinning gear. Ask the dealer/manufacturer where the vent is if it's not supposed to be in the filler plug. Then you can verify that vent is really there, then you can get the right fill plug and it won't leak. Is it possible the system is overfilled? When you say fluid "pours" out, that kind of sounds like it might be overfilled.

I guess your 364 is a bit newer version of my 354. I have never found a vent for the hydraulic system on my tractor and due to oil leaking I decided to make one. You can see photos of what I came up with in this thread:

As has been stated, if you overfill the system the oil will flow out any vent. Don't ask me how I know!
