Hydraulic Hose

In a thread I started about this time last year I asked several TNT questions about my Kubota L2800 which puts out 2400 psi. pressure and has 7.0 gal per min flow rate. Finally, I am ready to get the cylinders and joystick parts from Carter & Carter and have questions about the hose. What size ID hose is typically used on compact tractors with TNT? How many wire layers in the hose? I see everything from one layer to six?

I will probably have a local hydraulic shop do the hoses for me and I wanted to at least know a little about what I was doing before I went. Thanks.

For a TnT setup you want 1/4", 2-wire, 3000min PSI rated hose.

Wow, that was quick, tanks kennyd. A question I am going to ask C&C when I call them is about quick disconnects put in the system after the 2 spool joystick control. I do not want to plumb the cylinders directly into the control but rather use quick disconnects in case I need power to something else. I could put another joystick in for power beyond but that would be expensive. If I just had to I could put the OEM top link or side link back in for a while and use the existing quick couplers as rear remotes, couldn't I?

Putting QD's on your TnT cylinder is pretty commonplace, a lot of guy's take the cylinders off especially when they have backhoes.

CCM added QD's and hoses to my TL before they sent it out. Just checked their site, it adds 45$ to the price. DO IT!!! It was roughly 8 minutes from the time I opened the box 'til I was topping away with glee!!!
