My dad had to replace some hydraulic hoses on the front end loader on our 4340C, and it appears we have something reversed. Our 3-point lift will no longer raise unless we operate the loader at the same time. The loader appears to operate normally, and it doesn't really matter which loader function we use to cause the 3-point hitch to lift. Does anyone have a diagram of the hydraulic hookups for the loader on a 4340C or maybe a good pic of the hookup to the valve body?

Did you accidentally convert the loader valve to closed Center.

Well, i'm wondering if he could have somehow swapped the feed and the return. I looked at it, but I can't really tell what is what.

Check and make sure the PB and return didn't get switched.

Could someone with a 4340 or 4940 snap a quick pic? That would be really helpful.

I've recently gone through the process of sorting this out on my 4340. The picture is the block where the hoses come from going to the valve. The "P" port is pump (out) "R" is return (in), and "T" is low pressure return or tank.

I'd try swapping R & T, and that should solve the problem.
