One of the fittings for my front remote (for grapple) is leaking pretty decent. Checked and its screwed on tight. Only leaks when the hose for grapple is connected, so I should take that to mean theres something wrong with the fitting? Ive also seen that there are 2 types of fittings, one has a ball, one has more of a cone shape detent. Is one preferred to the other?

Could be dirt in the fitting. Brake clean and compressed air clean them out good.

Is it leaking from the threads? OR is it leaking from the connection of the two couplers?

Is it just a drip or two....or is it a high pressure spray of fluid?

Leaking from inside the connection. Its a pretty steady drip

O ring pinched or ripped? You can replace them but it can be fiddly. You do have to know what type and size coupling you have. Seems like there are way to many types/sizes in use these days.
