If you are going to connect the pump shaft to shaft, the pump rotation needs to run opposite the rotation of the pump. The pump you selected turns CW, does the engine turn CCW?

Not sure what direction the motors turns, but I suspect most Briggs and Stratton would operate the same? I will definately spin it a few revs with the starter to see, before fabricating mounts. Note that my pump was originally designed for dual belt drive so that is the way I will be attaching it. I will also be using a 2:1 gear reduction, 3300 engine RPM to 1650 pump RPM.

Thats a cool machine. My machines primary purpose will be to carry sand so it will be somewhat heavier and likey much slower then the commercial one.
