Hydraulic 3PH swing arm

Hi guys!
My "new" YM2220D's right 3-point-hitch swingarm has a hydraulic cylinder for up and down levelling. On the right fender there is a little box with two turning knobs ( one has 2, the other 3 positions) and a small lever which moves for/backwards. I was told the buttons were used to control a tiller and the lever levels the swingarm. I have played with this thingy in all possible settings but the swingarm will not move. Do I have to find some other lever/valve/switch to change hydraulic oil flow or does this unit simply not work? I tried in neutral, in gear, clutch depressed, clutch out, etc, but this cylinder won't budge.
Any ideas?

After taking apart the control box on the right fender, it turned out that there was no power feed to the electric switches in this box. After I brought in a wire directly from the battery everything works just fine. Adjusting your swingarm from your seat with just a little lever is a cool thing which I have not had before.

On the F17D series that I have sold, there is also a limit switch. When you have the 3 point lift handle all the way back (3pt hitch up all the way) it hits the limit switch, not allowing the hydraulic tilt to move.

That's right, Jim!
Must be the same setup as on mine. There are 2 microswitches within a metalbox, which is attached to the hydraulic cylinder.

I have recently acquired a F17D that seems to have the same facility, but I have the same problem, just can't get it to function. Can anybody tell me what I need to do please? Zoster solved the problem by taking a wire from the battery, but I would need to know where to connect it to, as I don't want to fry the whole thing.
Any suggestions please?
