We talked rather extensively about the differences (physical design and operational differences) between a Piranha heavy-duty, skidsteer-style, root/rock grapple and the W.R. Long "root rake brush" grapple ("RGB").Although you are right... I should have mentioned that the W. R. Long RGB can accidentally be tipped over!

I don't see it on any of the course material, it should be highlighted and bolded or something.
You prolly did Doug, but at the time I had a bucket that had never been off and I had never had to hook up anything by driving into it. So I prolly though, 'hook ears', that's nothing.
But there is good news. I got home today and fixed my leaky hose...no more leak. Then I added some hydralic fluid. Then I reattached the grapple hoses. It's really a breeze with the correct connectors
. Then I went back out to the pile of logs lying in the bushes. Two days ago the grapple seemed to not even have enough grip to lift one. I was sorely dissapointd with my tractor/grapple combo...but tonight, I feel like changing my name to the grappler. I was snapping those dudes up like nobodies bidness. Man, grapplin is fun stuff

I have found that when I disconnect my grapple if I open it up and rotate it forward so it looks like it is biting the ground you can disconnect it and there is no way it will tip over or move. when you come back to it you can easily reconnect.
I have the same Grapple you do from Long and love it there is just some what of a learning curve to operating it.
