branson 2910
hello. newbie here. I have a Branson 2910 tractor with a hydraulic problem. where the main metal hydraulic line coming from the pump goes along the left side and ends just in front of the back left tire, I cannot find anything that will connect a new hose to that threaded end. It looks like it’s a 1/2 diameter size, and I’ve used some swivel connectors to connect it to a hose but I guess the swivel wasn’t strong enough to hold the pressure. The previous hose had a leak, so I am trying to repair it. It had a British connector on it and when I got the new hose the new connector doesn’t fit right. i’ve tried every connector. I can find to connect it to a 3/8 inch hose, but now I have run out of options. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

I suggest you take the original hose to a local hydraulic shop and have them make you a new one. They can size and get the proper fitting for you.

I was confused in the swivel fitting you tried. Did it fit correctly but failed in the swivel part? Was it a plumbing fitting instead of a hydraulic rated fitting?

Pictures of the fitting end may help us help you as well.

I find that with a steel line with a style of fitting I can't (or choose not to) match, I can cut the line, make a fitting that's easy to work with and braze it onto the line. From that point on standard, easy to find fittings and/or hose ends can be used.

thanks! i found a mobile hose repair company and they hooked me up. the swivel coupling wasn’t graded for the pressure from the pump.
