The 550XP is a completely different saw. I assume you meant the 555 is a down-rated version of the 562XP?

I took in an old Stihl 026 to dealer because I couldn’t get it to stay running. He said “that’s an old saw, probably won’t be worth sinking any money into”. Took it to another Stihl dealer that’s basically a small engine shop and doesn’t have a corporate feel. $130 later and I got my saw back and running AND that included him putting on a brand new bar and Stihl yellow chain. Stihl has too many corporate stores these days who can’t work on crap. They’re like the yuppies of the chainsaw world.
