Does anyone have or plan to get a Husky utv? I'm currently looking and want to check all my options. I really like the Kubota but it seems really close to the mule. I also liked the ranger but have heard too many negatives about it. I will mostly using it for plowing and lite landscaping. I wish there was more options in these machines. It seems either their too light duty(rhino, ranger) or their slow as ****. I ckecked out the landpride unit it seems pretty solid. But no local dealers who carry them. Any other brands I might be overlooking? Any thought, suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Matt T:D

Sounds like you are like me; I want one that can do heavy work but also be reasonably fast. I know that the RTV is coming out with an RTV1100 this next year that will have more power. Now if you add twin turbos to that... :D Also, maybe I'm wrong, but the idea of the new RTV having a factory cab with factory heat A/C sounds very appealing to me. Some of my property is very remote and seems to be loaded with all sorts of critters that sting, bite, and generally annoy the crap out of me. It's nice to use my tractor with a cab and A/C when mowing or clearing there. I stay dry, clean, and comfortable. For me, I suppose it all depends on how Kubota prices that unit.

I really, really wanted one of the Bobcat Toolcats, but I just couldn't quite take the price. I'm not at all saying that it isn't worth it, but for a toy that wouldn't really see any true work, I just couldn't justify it to myself let alone my wife. Still, if they ever get the Toolcat to where it will accept 3 pt implements and have a 540 PTO, I could possibly see going away from a tractor to one.

But, you're right on the UTV's. There isn't any single UTV out now that will do everything I want it to do. And, even though I have two of them now, I don't like having multiple units that are similar. Thus my thought about the RTV1100 with twin turbos. :D I think I'd like that.

Man I didn't know husky made UTVs. The chain saw I have by them is tough as nails, wonder what their UTV is like...

Husky motorcycles rocked.
The lawnmower line is close to White.

I would like to see the UTV~!

I test drove the Husky prior to buying my RTV, I have to admit it was in fact very impressive...
One of the things that concerned me a little was the aluminum frame, very light compared to the others but I just was not convinced of long term durability.
I will say that the thing was like a mountain goat... I test drove it on some really tough hills and it performed very well, as I recall it did not have a 4 WD switch just seemed to go in and out automatically based on wheel spin.
Price wise I am thinking I could have got into it with a top cap roof and a diesel for around 10K...
good luck in your decision....

After reading more it seems very similar to the Big Country Cub Cadet.

Comes standard with the 20hp Honda engine or the Kubota 20hp diesel.
Comes standard with hydraulic bed lift. Basic warranty is 2 years which is better than most.

Yeah it has an AWD system instead of the traditional 4wd.

I'd never knew there was a Husky UTV. They look darn nice!! I have a Husky 155BT backpack blower. It's really nice, quiet and powerful. What surprised me about it is that the engine is a Kawasaki. Does Husky still make their own chainsaw engines?

For those that don't know it, the Husky UTV is a twin (triplet?) to the Bobcat 2200 and Club Car/ IR Pioneer vehicles. When they first offered the HUsky you could not get thediesel that was available to the others don't know if that's still true though.
