All pickups are considered "light trucks". I'm not positive, but I'd think 2 1/2 ton trucks and up is where they're considered medium duty.

My light truck is a 1990 f250. It weighs about 4600 lbs empty. Single cab, 2wd 5 speed. Gvwr is 8800. I can put 2 tons in my light truck.:D

...But F100 was the 'light pickup' when that brochure was written. Weren't those rated a half-ton?

I recall my earlier F100 ('63) felt badly overloaded and unsafe with a ton of gravel in it. Didn't do that again!

Cant beleive they put that in an ADD!!!! :-0

i think i would snatch my head around if i saw a tractor the size of a ym2000 in a pickup truck. Maybe like a ym1300 or something but i dont see a tractor that big!!!

Most pickups dont even have hold down spots that would support that kind of weight, you have to get to the frame. Aything you put into the bed would just rip right out!
