How to remove and park 3ph auger?

I have a pallet with two wood uprights bolted to it, I simply set it on the pallet, use a ratchet strap to hold it up and then disconnect it from the tractor. Nice because I can move it around as-needed on a pallet jack, forks on the tractor or skid loader, or even the carry-all on the tractor.

I would love to see a picture of your pallet with the post hole digger. I'm always trying to build a better mousetrap.

<img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/attachments/414578-how-remove-park-3ph-auger-post-hole-digger-stand-june"/> Over the years I've tried a few ways to do this. Hanging it from a tree branch worked, but it wasn't where I wanted it. I also hung it from a beam in a barn, but it was always in the way. For quite awhile I just drilled it into the ground a little ways and left it like that. But my favorite, and current method is to hang it from some posts with a beam across the top of it off in a corner where it's easy to get to, but not in the way of anything else. Eddie

Great idea Eddie. Thanks for the picture.

I'll get one this week. It's nothing fancy, I'll eventually make one a bit more permanent. :)

Should cost under$20. Been holding my PHD for 10 years.

Just 2 PT 4x4s stuck in the ground 30". Those were the first holes that I dug with the PHD.

Remove the top cross beam, back up, stick the beam in the saddles, lower implement. Pull drive shaft and pins. Disconnect hydraulic lines, drive away. Typically takes about 5 minutes to attach or remove this implement. Easily done with one person, no help required, or even wanted for that matter. ;)

That's the problem,:confused3: need a good easy accessible spot that will not be in the way or going to get blocked in the future.
