That guy is about the dumbest guy have ever seen. What did he expect to happen when he climbed on top of the tree and attempt to shake it down?
Hate to wish ill will on anybody but thinking this guy is in the running for a Darwin Award.

Many options: toothbar, chain-on or clamp-on forks, QA or bolt-on forks, a modified carry-all on the 3pt hitch, a long rope to tie up a huge pile and then drag it. If I were spending money to do something, the bolt-on (to bucket) grapple would get high consideration since I don't have a QA setup and it is very reasonably priced. A bolt-on with tooth-bar might be very versatile for rooting, and you keep the bucket capability for loose material. I already have the toothbar. Love how it gives more capacity while protecting the bucket edge.

Yep love my Piranha tooth bar... undoubtably the best addition to my BX. Any suggestion on bolt on grapple products, experiences?

I'm thinking the stump guy should be buying lottery tickets. In every instance, the best possible outcome occurred for him. Really, was there a scenario where he didn't get hurt if he was successful in toppling the stump WHILE ON TOP OF IT? His utter incompetence probably saved his skin. When he sobers up he'll be thankful that a sore knee was the only damage.

OK, I admit it...I was a little disappointed he didn't ride the stump down as it fell...

It appears my YouTube link didn't work. I'll try again later.

Sorry. I don't own one and haven't used one. So, can't comment or recommend. There are only a few options, as I understand it, like ATI. But, I'm sure if you search for "bolt-on grapple" you'll find some good info on makers and performance. If used with a toothbar, probably need to pay attention to tooth spacing verse grapple claw to ensure they mesh without interference. I would carefully measure the tooth locations and check with grapple maker on adjusting spacing to ensure no interference. I think the Piranhas are a bit different than traditional toothbars, though. I prefer the long teeth of a traditional toothbar, but depends on intended uses.

Mike, that's very cool!!! Will the claw open far enough to be out the way when using the forks on a stacked pallet for example???
